In June 2008, Adopt-A-Minefield's  marketing manager and program coordinator visited partners on the ground and met with people AAM helps in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina – two of the most mine affected countries in Europe.

AAM funds STOP Mines’ program providing no interest loans for landmine survivors. Since the micro-loan program started in 2005 it has provided about $215,000 US to more than 55 survivors.

Croatia:

Family and cattle are once again able to use the fertile fields surrounding Ivica Drnić's home in eastern Croatia.

Elementary aged students are happy to play in the fields around their school, now that AAM funds cleared landmines there.
